Ever since I was in class five, the mobile library of the World Literature Center used to come to our house. I used to read storybooks regularly from that time. Some books have left scars in my mind while I was in school. I think I would have missed a lot if I hadn’t read these. Let’s not know the names of those books.

1. Jules Verne Overall:

Jules Verne is often called the “Father of Science Fiction.” Many of the various vehicles and instruments mentioned in his science fiction have come true in the modern world, one of the submarines!

Why read:

Those like me who like adventure and a little touch of science should read all of Jules Verne’s stories and novels. Very few writers have been able to write such delicious writing about science fiction!

2. Biographies of 100 scholars:

The stories of all the famous sages inspire us. We are amazed to hear the story of their abandonment, accepting them as role models!

Why read:

By reading the biographies of the wise men of the world, we can know their qualities and build a life-like theirs. This book can play a helpful role in spiritual development, school life is a good time for character building.

3. Gulliver’s Travel by Jonathan Swift:

As a kid, I used to see my older siblings call me ‘Gulliver’ when they were a little taller, and jokingly called my younger friends ‘Lilliput’. Growing up, I read this funny book and realized what the real story is!

Why read:

This is a fictional story about a man named Gulliver in the land of the little Lilliputians. This novel has become unique by mixing all the funny stories and deep thoughts!

4. Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens:

It can easily be called one of the best novels by Charles Dickens. This book was not an option to talk about life as a child!

Why read:

The author has written this outstanding article about Oliver who lost his parents as a child. Orphan Oliver’s family, his upbringing, adolescence have all come to light through this heartbreaking story!

5. You Have a Match by Emma Lord

Discovering you have a secret sibling can be overwhelming, but what happens when your newfound sister is a seemingly perfect Instagram star? For Abby, a random decision to sign up for a DNA service leads to a summer she’ll remember forever.

Why Read:

This is a heartwarming novel of friendship and family, with a little romance. The story and characters have depth and emotion, touching on topics of broken friendships, losing a loved one, deception, social media, and pursuing what you love. Abby, Savvy, and Leo’s adoptive parents are White; Leo is Filipino.

There are so many other books that cut the stain on the heart when you read them, some of which make you shiver, and when you read some books you burst out laughing! Again, maybe I will bring a list of some such books here, until then, I am concluding by wishing everyone to read the book. Read books, get to know yourself, and move forward on the path of mindfulness inspired by self-learning!
